Mrs. Stacy Cox currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of The Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) since September 1, 2011. A native of the Bahamas and a citizen of the Turks and Caicos Islands, she brings 20+ years of hospitality experience to the TCHTA.
As Chief Executive Officer of Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association, Stacy represents the membership of TCHTA on matters affecting the tourism and hospitality industry, both locally and internationally including advocacy issues and marketing initiatives which build a sustainable tourism product through awareness, outreach and educational programmes.
Stacy began her hospitality career at the world-famous Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas, and quickly moved her way up the ranks. In 1997, she moved to Turks and Caicos Islands and brings to the TCHTA extensive experience where she previously held several General Manager positions at luxury resorts including Windsong Resort and Royal West Indies Resort.
Stacy is committed to the advancement of the hospitality industry and believes that education and awareness of opportunities within the tourism industry are critical in Turks and Caicos. She selflessly volunteers her time for good causes such as Youth Explosion, Maskanoo, TCI Shines and TCI Lil’ Chefs. Stacy has also served on various Executive Boards including TCHTA and the regional Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and its Caribbean Society of Hotel Association Executives (CSHAE)as its current President, Director for Junior Achievers TCI, Director for the Salvation Army, co-founder of TCI Hospitality Adventure's Lil’ Chefs Programme and recently launched TCHTA Development Center. Stacy has recently launched a social page called “Women in Tourism Caribbean”, that recognizes and applaud women who have dedicated their lives to tourism. An advocate of continued education, she has continued her own professional development through online courses at Cornell University and the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
Stacy’s favorite motto is “Living with purpose, because of the promise.” During her free time, she enjoys a variety of activities including reading and travel and regularly mentors’ young women, especially those in the hospitality industry.
